2026 Beat the Heat – Registration

Please note that Beat the Heat will be changing dates and venue. The event will now be held on 21–22 February at the Junee Rifle Club.

All the important stuff:

  1. The range is located on Rifle Range Road, Junee NSW, approximately 3 km south of town along a dirt road (see picture below).
  1. Camping and Accommodation
  2. I can confirm camping is availability on the range it will be $10 per camp for the weekend which will go back into the Junee Club. There will be space at the start of the range near the toilet and clubhouse to back trailers in and keep them out of the way. Please note that the range is narrow—approximately 20 metres wide from fence to fence—so space will be tight, but manageable. You may arrive early to the range, but I must stress that no rifles are to be out until the weekend.

Other accommodation options

  • Caravan Park:
The local tourist park has both powered and unpowered sites available ($30–$40 per site). Cabins are also available in a variety of configurations.
  • Motor Inn:
The local motor inn has rooms available. The hospitality is excellent, and the pool is a welcome bonus ($140–$160 per night).
  • Pub accommodation:
There are also several local pubs that may offer accommodation options.
  1. The Range

The range is narrow, with three lanes, and is approximately 600 metres long, with mounds at 100-yard intervals. It has working butts, and we will be organising a butts party to run our competitions.

Please note that there is no weekday shooting due to permission requirements with surrounding farmland, so shots will only be fired on Saturday and Sunday.

4: The Shoot modifications

5: Registration:

Please register below if you have not yet. I will need to know who is attending to plan the squadding and get a general idea of how many people are attending for timing.

If you have any questions please do not hesitate to reach out.
